Last week was a busy one for our students. They worked on their lessons as we are quickly approaching the end of the year. I get to enjoy this key moments were they are so focused on their lessons, that they don’t even notice I’m taking a picture.
Because the teacher does not “run” the classroom, students guide the activities they do throughout the day. This encourages children to share and work cooperatively to explore the various areas in the classroom. Children in Montessori classrooms, by the very nature of the environment, learn to respect one another and build a sense of community.
The second collage tell the story of our trip to NESTT. This was a day of adventure, discovery and fun activities in a natural setting. We got to hike, fish, barbecue, and go critter catching.
